Safety Audits & Program Reviews

Knowing the status of your Safety & Health program through audits, inspections and reviews is as important to your business as having a physical exam is to knowing the status of your health.  And just like in medicine, we have different levels of reviews that can be tailor made to fit your needs. Most reviews can be performed under privilege at the request of counsel if desired.

Comprehensive Safety & Health Program Assessment – This review covers all aspects including: a detailed physical hazards site assessment, a policies and procedures review, a training gap analysis, leadership, supervisory and employee engagement reviews, and an injury trend analysis. After the review, the client is provided with a comprehensive report of findings.

The Plain Language Written Program Review – Safety and Health policies and procedures can be written in regulatory style with complicated words and phrases that many employees do not understand. When employees are confused about the policies, they either interpret them as they see fit or don’t use them at all. We take your written policies and procedures and simplify them into plain language that employees can understand. We also standardize format and layout so that employees can find what they need quickly. And we do this while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Site Audits and Inspections – On-site reviews can be tailored to the needs of the facility. A site that has been struggling with compliance or injuries may want a detailed review that includes looking over training and inspection reports, hot work and confined space permits, and contractor safety in addition to a physical hazards review. On the other hand, a safety manager preparing for a major corporate safety audit may want an extra set of eyes to look for obvious compliance gaps in a one-day visit. For both situations, and everything in between, we can provide the type of site reviews that you need.
